Designing the Red Land Cotton Bed — Style Tips to Get the Look in Your Home

Do you remember spending the night at your grandmother’s home? I do.

I remember the smell of bacon frying as soon as I awakened. A chance to be spoiled and loved like only grandparents do. A tuck-in at night that was a tad too snug. And a bed that was just a little warmer and softer than mine at home.

Red Land Cotton strives to reconnect with those times…when the linens were truly softer and muted colors spoke volumes.

In this post, we give you ideas for using Red Land Cotton products in your home to get a traditional, yet modern look. To create a simple, yet elegant bedroom.

And, just so you know, RLC’s very own Anna Yeager Brakefield styled each of the beautiful layouts below. She wouldn't tell you that (Southern humility and all), but I will.

So...here's to all of you who are working to make your homes beautiful...a place where you can't wait to be and sad to leave.

A place where everything is a little softer and a tad comfier.

Our hope is that Red Land Cotton plays a part in your quest for a beautiful and comfortable home.

Style Tips
Instead of letting the bedding dictate your décor, sometimes it’s nice for it to be a canvas of sorts…for it to inspire the rest of the room. With the soft color blocking of the duvet cover and the shams, the hints of red, green and brown around the room pop.

Don’t Miss This!
The hemstitching in our Red Land Classic sheets! It’s a subtle, beautiful detail, almost like a secret to be discovered each time you climb under these sheets.

Style Tips
Truly, all white bedding means endless possibilities. The tall cactus and vintage mirrors hanging above the bed become statements of a simple life. When styling an all-white bed, create depth and movement around the room with some of your favorite pieces…a beautiful plant, paintings by your children, handmade frames, or portraits of family members long gone. The best things in life are often the most simple.

The lace trim on our Madeline Gray Sheet Sets gives texture to the all-white bedding. (It is a little surprise each night you pull back the covers and slip in.)

Style Tips
Sometimes an awesome pair of sheets is as much fun as a stylish duvet cover. Here, our Lawrence Ticking Stripe Shams give a hint to the sheets hiding under the duvet cover. (It’s kinda like saying…Shhhh, it’s our little secret.)

Don’t Miss This!
Neutrals with a pattern are always a win. But, the pattern doesn’t always have to be on
the duvet cover or comforter.

I’m looking for an oversized king bedspread made of very fine, thin cotton for summer use. I also need long and deep twin sheets king pillow cases and a large king top sheet. Do you make such items?
