I absolutely love this time of year. Yes, we’re still tired, running at full speed to fulfill orders and get everything delivered in time for Christmas morning. But even in the middle of the hustle, I feel it—this unmistakable thrill of hope. Hope for a new year. Hope for new things to come. While the sparkle of the lights and the beauty of the tree are captivating, what I love most about this season is the hope it brings.
As a business owner, the weight of the year can sometimes feel heavy. You carry lessons from Q1 and Q2 straight into the heart of the season. There are mistakes, challenges, wins, and losses that shape the year behind you. For Red Land Cotton, 2025 has been a year of tremendous growth, truly incredible partnerships (including our collaboration with Colonial Williamsburg), and really finding our stride. We’ve also faced supply chain challenges that are reshaping how we continue to make our products here in America—more on that soon. But even through all the peaks and valleys of this year, I am filled with overwhelming hope for 2026.
Because 2026 marks our 10-year anniversary. Can you believe it? Ten years of creating bedding that is honest, pure, American-made—and my favorite part—beautiful. I love making beautiful things, especially finding beauty in situations that may not seem ideal at first. An American supply chain may not be the easiest path, but it is our foundation and our “why.” Farming hard clay soil in North Alabama may not be ideal either—but with hard work, beautiful things still grow. I truly cannot wait to show you what we have planned for the year ahead. I feel a thrill of hope for even bigger and better things to come.
It’s not lost on me how fitting it is that we feel this thrill of hope at the end of the year. As the old year closes—with all its ups, downs, and trials—we naturally long for a clean slate. That longing mirrors the greatest gift of all: when Jesus came to save a fallen world and make all things new. He erased our sins with His love and offered us new life. Any hope we feel for a new year pales in comparison to that. And this season is the perfect reminder of the true source of our hope.
My prayer is that you feel filled with hope. And if you don’t right now, I hope you know there is still so much joy and goodness ahead. Sometimes hope is given freely—like the gift of Christ. And sometimes, we are called to go out and help create that goodness ourselves in this world.
As for me, I’ll be soaking in this season with deep gratitude for a Savior and with so much excitement for the days ahead.
Thank you for celebrating every season with us. It truly means the world to our family and to the community that Red Land Cotton has built.
