Red Land Cotton is looking for an experienced sewing machine operator to help craft our American-made bedding and home goods. This role joins, hems, reinforces, and finishes materials using single- and double-needle machines. If you’re interested in applying, please send your resume to info@redlandcotton.com.
Responsibilities:
• Operate single- and double-needle sewing machines
• Position, join, hem, and finish materials according to specifications
• Select threads, bindings, and trims as needed
• Monitor stitching quality and report any machine issues
• Cut excess material or thread and perform basic machine care
• Assist with additional tasks based on production needs
• Occasionally arrive early, stay late, or work some weekends
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum one year of sewing machine experience or completion of a sewing course
• Ability to read, write, and follow written/visual guides
• Strong communication skills and dependable work habits
• Must pass background check and drug screening; valid driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and move safely around the production floor
Physical Requirements:
• Comfortable sitting/standing for long periods and operating foot controls
• Fine hand coordination for precise stitching and material handling
• Able to bend, reach, and move materials throughout an 10-hour shift
• Good visual acuity for color, detail, and seam accuracy
