There is something about the little details that truly elevate a piece and set it apart. We learned that quickly at Red Land Cotton in our first few years. When we launched our first set of sheets in 2016, the details on our Hemstitched Sheet Set and the effort we went through to source that first hemstitch machine to make the intricate stitch was worth it. It remains one of our top sellers today and we own 4 of those Hemstitch machines now.
Similarly, the details matter when considering which brand to buy your bedding from. When we started Red Land Cotton, we know America didn't need another bedding brand shipping product in from overseas. America needs jobs, hope and a rebuilding of her textile presence. It was that intention (a little detail) that we chose to make and put significant effort into that made all the difference.
I say all this to say, the details are important. That's why, when I looked at removing prints from our offerings due the plant closing that made our prints, I knew I needed to add in a collection that had a little detail that elevated the product beyond just a new color.

I'm excited to introduce our Essentials Collection. This collection highlights our new colors with a contrasting white binding on the flat sheet and pillowcases as well as the duvet covers and shams. It looks elevated and the colors really pop when accented with that little white binding detail.
We're offering our Essentials Collection in Sky Blue, Vapor Gray and (fan favorite) Vanilla. Yes, even the soft off white Vanilla pops with the bright white binding on it's trim!

How would I style it? With our amazing existing pieces of course! Layer the Gray or Blue with either our Classic Quilt or Diamond Matelasse in white. Add a bold color with our Highlands Bed Blanket or Homewood Throw and it really accentuates the color choice!

We loved pairing the Vanilla Essentials with our Natural Diamond Matelasse and American Made Bed Blanket in Natural. The textures here were so lovely and warm! It might just be my favorite combination from our Spring/Summer shoot!

Bottom line: We know the details are important. That's why we're building our bedding at home and continue to do the hard work for the little details that matter, because the details are essential!
