2026 has challenged us mind, body and soul. The closure of a key manufacturing partner made us question our processes, our business and our mission. But in all the soul searching and brain scratching we were able come back to the intention and heart of the business — quality American cotton, American manufacturing and heirloom quality.
These things are what drives Red Land Cotton. So the question for me became: How do I get back to the heart of the business? How do I let the fiber and the process behind the product really shine?
So, we're getting back to basics at RLC with a renewed focus on — the basics.
Because in the end, we're not a trend. We're not a flash in the pan. We're not living on vibes. We're focused on long last pieces that mean something in your home. We're striving to create foundational pieces and align with our customers values and fit snuggly into their homes.
We're excited to continue growing and dreaming with these priorities in mind. Our first dream: Breathing color into Red Land Cotton.
For our first venture into colors, we leaned into what we know: tans, blues and grays. We already make beautiful blankets in flax (tan), blue and gray. We know these colors are timeless, relaxing and ideal for creating a perfect sleep setting. So, we decided to continue on this theme with our new Vanilla, Sky Blue and Vapor Gray colors.
Vanilla
Vanilla is a creamy off white with hints of pinks and yellows mixed in. When I first saw it, it looked like a natural vanilla ice cream and thats what we went with for a name. When it's on the bed, its sets a mood of instant relaxed tranquility. It's softer and more refined than our "natural" color (which is the unbleached color of cotton). We think this will be an instant classic... much like its name sake!
Sky Blue
This is my personal favorite. It's a cool drink of water with just a drop of blue in it. It's not overpowering and the blue almost changes intensity as the light changes on it. Sky Blue is a graceful color that I think can be used as a base color to build your bed design around.
Vapor Gray
This one stands out but not in an aggressive way. We all went into our photoshoot thinking it wouldn't be our favorite and by the time we were done we were all in love with this color. It's calm and cool while still being prominent. It pops against our white Classic Quilt or Diamond Coverlet. Pair it with the grey Highlands Blanket and it really elevates the bed.

I love the percale sheets. My favorite is the vanilla. I also have the grey. I would like to see a very pale pink and a pale purple. Maybe a green would be nice also. What ever you decide I’m sure it will be beautiful. Thank you for offering quality made in the USA sheets!

I really love the percale. My favorite right now is the vanilla. I have the grey also. Love them both. Maybe try a pale pink almost like ballerina pink but a tad lighter. Also a pale purple, lilac. Green is nice too. I’m sure whatever you decide it will be beautiful.

We’ve ordered from RLC a few times but (for me) the Sky Blue is my favorite! It’s a timeless color, and so very comfortable and most of all well made.
