I can't tell you all how excited I am to finally launch our new line of loungewear. It's been several months in the making and we've landed on two designs that we know will be perfect for both day and night!
Here Are 5 Reasons To LOVE Our Loungewear!
1. It's Inspired By You
You guys have been asking for nightgowns, nightshirts, etc. ever since we launched in 2016. This year the stars aligned and we were able to make this dream a reality. This collection was inspired by what our customers are looking for and we hope it fits the bill! And while we only have styles for women right now... don't lose heart men... we haven't forgotten about you!
2. A Couture Design Partner
We partnered with Jeannette Fiore, an Italian immigrant, and couture dressmaker to design and make the patterns for our loungewear. We brought her some inspiration and she made it her own. She added things you would appreciate and enjoy like deep pockets big enough for a cell phone or the mandarin collar on our sleeveless shirts, The Sally. As she said in her Italian accent, "women like me don't want all this stuff around their necks... we're hot enough as it is... we need to breathe!". Having her expertise was crucial in creating a superior design.
3. Versatile Styles
Wear it at home or out and about. I have worn our sample shirts out and about in public just to get feedback and so far it's been very positive! I've worn the shirts to business meetings with leggings and flats and I've worn them out traveling with jeans and flipflops. Mostly, I hear "that looks so comfortable and cute... I need one of those!". I'm so glad I can finally tell them where they can find them. :)
I've also worn them at home with my 15-month-old daughter. It was easy to get up and down with her and she thought the fabric was fun as it flowed around and made for fun twirling! My favorite part was the pockets for holding things like hair bows she pulled out of her hair and random blocks she toted all over the house!
4. A Fabric You Know And Love
Our loungewear is made from the exact same fabric as our bedding. So if you are familiar with our bedding at all, you know these nightshirts will be soft breathable and crisp BUT they WILL need to hang to dry and/or need a little heat from an iron to look crisp. This means the fabric is SAFE! Cotton wrinkles naturally so any shirt that doesn't wrinkle has been treated with resins to make it "permanent press". Shirts and pants that don't require ironing tend to see early wear and tear on shirt collars or hems of pants where the fabric folds over. This is a result of the resins degrading the fabric and causing fraying where the fabric bends. Ultimately, we will hope you agree that a little time with a hot iron is worth more than fabric treated with chemicals.
5. Flattering Any Shape
We wanted to make a product that would flatter petite figures and plus size figures. We've had requests to make XS and XXL sizes and we will probably add these in the future. BUT I will say, we've had customers try on our XL who usually wear a 2XL and they love the fit! I myself am petite and I love the fit of the small! The pleating in the front and the back don't make them look like tents on smaller frames but also allow or a better fit for plus size customers!
With all that said, I KNOW you're going to love these new pieces! And if you're wondering... it's NEVER too early to start making your Christmas list! ;)
