I’m not sure about you, but this year has begun with a great deal of uncertainty for us. In October, our finisher (the manufacturing partner responsible for printing and dyeing our fabrics) announced they were closing. We had just two weeks to get our final order through their doors for processing before beginning the search for a new partner.
As of January 2026, we have trials running at five different finishers, yet we haven’t been able to finish a single yard of fabric since our original partner announced their closure.
It’s one of those situations where I know I’m doing everything I can to remain true to our story, our mission, and our customers. And beyond that, I have to trust that God has a plan for this business and for what we are building here.
So yes, in January, as we launch our Sipsey Scallop Collection, I am praying for peace like a river.
This year is also deeply exciting for me. For the first time in our history, I began setting intentions for new product releases and planning designs as early as July of 2025. This scalloped concept was one of the very first ideas on that list.
We began working with our embroidery partner on color options and construction in August and September. I narrowed it down to five colors before selecting the three we would launch with: Sky, Fawn, and Moss. Each felt grounded in nature — peaceful and calm — much like the wide, winding scalloped embroidery itself.
I named the collection Sipsey after the Sipsey River, which winds its way through Alabama. The Sipsey River is one of the last wild, free-flowing swamp streams in the state and one of Alabama’s most unique and valuable aquatic resources. It stretches 92 miles before emptying into the Tombigbee River.
The surrounding landscape is rich and diverse, ranging from bald cypress swamps to tupelo gum trees, swamp cottonwood, southern red oak, yellow poplar, and American beech. The Sipsey River borders the Bankhead National Forest, and that's where you’ll also find our farm.

So often, it can feel like we’re alone in choosing the road less traveled — committed to doing things the hard way, navigating the rugged wilderness that is the American textile supply chain. But just like this special collection, there is real beauty to be found in the wilderness and in paths few are willing to take.
When I designed this collection in July and August of 2025, I had no idea how much I would need the reminder of a river and the wilderness in the cold days of January. Yet here we are. And I’m continually reminded that I am not in control. I’m not doing this on my own. He is.
That is the true beauty of this collection, and I am deeply thankful I get to share it with y’all.
