Love your story and the process explained. I have a set of sheets that was passed down from my Grandmother’s neighbor. I slept on them when I was 12 and I’m now 75. They still wash and iron up crisp and cool when laundered. Not a stitch or thread out of place or thin! I’m sure they are at least 60 yrs old. That’s percale cotton made in the USA!
